Teresa (Terri) Mewborn became a Virginia Master Naturalist with the Merrimac Farm Chapter in 2016. After moving to Clarksville in 2019, she was disappointed to find that there wasn’t a Southside chapter. Terri served on the local organizing committee to establish the Southern Piedmont Chapter, and during that time, she started the Southside Online Naturalist Group (SONG) on Facebook. In the chapter's first year, she mentored the inaugural SPMN Basic Training Class of 2022. Most recently, she has served as the chapter's Secretary. Her primary area of interest is developing local partnerships with the goal of mobilizing Southsiders to actively help manage and protect the region's exquisite natural resources. A generalist by nature, Terri enjoys introducing people to the outdoors through guided hikes and educational programs, and she has a particular passion for litter patrols.
